How to play

Each day you get a starting lineup from one team and one season, with a single player hidden. Your job is to name the missing starter.

You have five guesses. Each wrong guess reveals one more clue about the player:

1. Physical profile — height, weight, and handedness or throws.
2. Draft & college — where they were drafted and where they played in school.
3. Other teams — every other franchise they played for.
4. Calling card — a nickname, a notable career moment, or the first letter of the last name. Whichever fits best.

Rosters and stats come from Basketball-Reference, Baseball-Reference, Hockey-Reference, the NHL public API, and nflverse. Player nicknames and career highlights are curated by hand. If you spot something wrong, hit the feedback button in the corner.
